Advocacy: ALS Day of Action
April 19
- This event has passed.
Thanks to the efforts of thousands of ALS advocates across the country, 80 U.S. Representatives and 32 U.S. Senators signed on to the House and Senate ALS Research Funding Dear Colleague letters!
Specifically in the letters we asked members of Congress to support:
- $80 million for the Department of Defense ALS Research Program
- $150 million for the National Institutes of Health
- $100 million for the ACT for ALS
- $15 million for the National ALS Registry and Bio Repository
You can review all of our funding requests and the full list of signers on both letters here.
On Wednesday, April 19, we will continue our ALS research funding advocacy by holding our 2023 virtual fly-in with advocates from across the country meeting virtually with their lawmakers on key appropriations committees in the House and Senate.
Join the Day of Advocacy here!
It is through your advocacy that, together, we will create a world without ALS. The actions of state and federal governments have a tremendous impact on people living with ALS. It’s important that those leaders hear directly from you.
